Virginia and I have been to a Broomtree retreat and a Pastor's Retreat Network retreat. They were both excellent for rest, quiet, and spiritual advancement. The day's schedule is mostly a very relaxed approach and most of your time is spent together as a couple, with no interruptions. We took seriously the time and opportunities for personal spiritual growth.
And we could not believe how much we slept each day, and then were still able to sleep the night through.
We would highly recommend these retreats to all our pastoral couples. You need to reserve a place early. You can always cancel, but you must apply for a reservation early.
We are planning another retreat this summer, possibly trying a different retreat group. The ones we have experienced so far, far exceeded our expectations. (Bill and Virginia, Indiana - Posted January 2008)

My family (myself, my wife, and our 5-month-old, and 8-year-old) were allowed use of a wonderful condo in Sarasota, Florida over the summer through Quiet Place ministries. Everyone was so nice, and the accommodations were great! During the summer, Sarasota’s actually LESS busy, so we had a wonderful, relaxing time. I would highly recommend them, and urge you to support them as you are able. (Joe, North Carolina)

As a part of my sabbatical plan, my wife and I went to the Pastors Retreat Network center in New Bedford, Ohio . . . it was one of the best weeks my wife and I ever had. It was beautiful, quiet, and we were treated as real guests! But most of all, we enjoyed a rich time with Jesus. He met with us everyday in a very unique way. My wife and I individually used the recommended Bethany Spiritual Retreat material provided--excellent stuff. Pastors and spouses need to get there! (Bud, Ontario)

My wife and I recently attended a retreat at A Valley View Inn, in Ohio, run by the Pastor’s Retreat Network. We experienced a wonderful time with other couples and with the host couple. Valley View is located in an Amish community and it was a great time to get away and read, relax, and study God’s Word with each other and with some other wonderful couples. It was well worth the time and distance it took for us to get there. I would highly recommend this as a time to get away from everything and spend some quality time with the Lord and with your spouse. The brochure reads: “Join us at A VALLEY VIEW INN and return home refreshed . . . Renewed . . . And more deeply in love with the God you serve!” – and it is true. (Ernie, Tennessee)
